Single Race is the game mode which most people use to play tracks offline. This mode can be played in Multi-Player. It is a race typically with 3 laps and the stock (and custom, if available) AI cars. AI chooses similar class cars to yours to be fair. In order to unlock more cars in this mode, win all tracks of a specific cup.
You can set number of laps in game settings at options.
