The "Dust Mite" is one of many available stock cars in Re-Volt.
Performance
The Dust Mite is a 4WD electric-operated buggy, classified under the Rookie class. The car has relatively similar performance of that to the RC Bandit, which is relating to in use for wide open areas and off-road environments and elements. The car name, "Dust Mite" refers to the cars size, possibly referring to the actual size of the insect of whom the car is named after. This may be the smallest car in the game, but out of comparison with the Clockwork car, but this car is the smallest buggy in the game. The small size of the car makes it easy to flip in may trick sections of various tracks and may be pushed or repelled easily by opposing racers or pickups and hazards. But, its small size will also allow it to slip past many tight or narrow obstructions and track sections with ease.
Additional Information
- This car was unplayable in any of the Re-Volt demos, without using the box-swap trick or copying the cars data folder and renaming it accordingly.
- This car does not need any method to unlock, as the car is given to the player at the start of the game.
- The car's default data folder name is 'mite'
- Dust Mite's top speed in the mode Junior RC is 20 mph (32 kph) and in Console, Arcade and Simulation 31 mph (50 kph).
