Dust Mite is one of the many available stock cars in Re-Volt.

Performance

Dust Mite is an Electric-powered 4WD buggy, classified under the Rookie rating.

The buggy has a well-rounded top speed, reaching at 31 mph (50 kph), being on-par with Sprinter XL or Phat Slug. While these two vehicles have an emphasis on acceleration and weight respectively, Dust Mite instead focuses on its stature.

The vehicle is best known for being the smallest buggy in the game, hence the name 'Dust Mite.' This is supplemented thanks to its handling characteristics, which is the vehicle's biggest advantage it brings into. Its cornering ability is superb, with Dust Mite possessing a narrow turning radius. The wheels turn very quickly according to the desired direction, which makes Dust Mite change its trajectory without many hassles. Its grip is also excellent, assisting in the stability of its turning, highlighting little risk of spinning out of control. All in all, the vehicle's small size and handling traits generates great synergy. It demonstrates excellent performance in terms of response time, enabling the buggy to dodge incoming havoc just by steering out of the way, as well as promoting its ability to navigate through narrow sections of many tracks.

Dust Mite has some weaknesses. Despite its small and nimble-looking stature, its acceleration is clocked in at an unremarkable 1.97 m/s². This makes it fairly difficult for Dust Mite to reach its top speed, but more importantly, it has a negative impact on its handling benefits. As with most cars, slowing down is almost necessary before entering a corner and Dust Mite is no exception. The main problem lies in its ability of exiting corners, which many players will find it sluggish during this process.

Although being a small buggy benefits its handling, it also compromises its weight. Dust Mite is fairly light, weighing at only 1.2 kilograms. While this is not a major problem thanks to the pace of the Rookie rating, occasionally Dust Mite will find trouble against contact with Pickups, accentuating the strategy of dodging the items instead of tackling it head on, which would be suitable for more heavier cars. Furthermore, its stability is mediocre due to the structure of its small wheelbase. Despite the vehicle being a buggy, Dust Mite players will sometimes experiences a loss of control when landing hard from the drop-offs of Toy World 1, or when navigating consistent bumpy areas such as the Stunt Arena. Similar to RC Bandit, the vehicle has a high tendency to stay flipped, increasing the usage of repositioning or manually flipping the car back.

Overall, Dust Mite boasts fantastic handling in terms of both turning radius and grip, and when combined with its small size, makes the vehicle outstanding in maneuverability. On the other hand, the vehicle is aggravated due to its middling stability and acceleration stats. Ultimately, Dust Mite can still be used to an effective nature, but requires a slightly higher level of skill than the all-around vehicles in its rating such as RC Bandit and Volken Turbo, but at the same time is easier to control than stat-specific vehicles such as Phat Slug or Sprinter XL.
