Championship is another Re-Volt play mode. This is gamemode is responsible of unlocking tracks (not mirrored either reversed) and cars. It's composed from 4 cups and sub-championship,

Bronze Cup for rookie cars and easy tracks
Silver Cup for amateur cars and medium tracks
Gold Cup for semi-pro cars and hard tracks
Platinum Cup for Pro cars and extreme tracks.

Tips

Win single races and collect stars in Practice mode at unlocked tracks, before playing Championship. You will get newer and better cars, that way it will be easier to complete cup.
