Original Cars
All versions of Re-Volt (aside from the demos) come with 34 pre-installed 'stock' cars. These cars are divided into separate ratings. The ratings are: Rookie, Amateur, Advanced, Semi-pro, Pro, and Special. "Rookie" rating cars are the cars available for use when one first begins a new game file and are the only class used in the demos, "Amateur" class cars must be unlocked by winning the Bronze Cup Championship before a player can use them, etc. The cars also have different classes. The classes are: "Electric", "Glow", and "Special". The class of a car does not effect its driving abilities. Different classes make different sounds while the car is racing. However, electric class cars tend to be rookie and amateur ratings (Evil Weasel, Bertha Ballistics, Pole Poz, and Rotor are exceptions), while glow class cars are higher ratings. There is only one special class car. Each car's racing abilities are measured by horizontal bars defining the car's abilities in three fields: speed, acceleration, and weight. Information about the cars is located in the tables below.
-Drivetrains were corrected according to Adamodell's FWD RWD Swap Fix so, these aren't mistakes.

Console Version Cars
There are 14 cars that are selectable and that are exclusive to the console ports of Re-Volt. There are two unique ones that were featured in the Dreamcast port of Re-Volt, and were not featured in the PlayStation port. However, the other 12 were featured in both versions of the game. None of these cars were featured in the N64 port, due to space limitations the developers had to work with, as in the cartridge media.

Special Cars
There are six special cars in Re-Volt. These cars are unusual. They include: Clockwork (Its name on Dreamcast is Clockwork Wun), Clockwork Too, Clockwork Tree, Clockwork (same name but different appearance than Clockwork Wun), Probe UFO, 'Trolley' and Mystery. All of the Clockwork cars are pro rating and the "[CHT]" label is next to their names. The Clockwork cars are all the same, except they look different. They are very fast, but small and light, making them difficult to keep upright. Probe UFO and Trolley are the only cars in Re-Volt that are special class. The Probe UFO has a slight ability to fly, and Mystery has a unique appearance, covered with a sheet marked with question marks. The edges of the sheet move around while the car is in motion. Being an amateur rating, Mystery is not very fast. When you flip it over, nothing is there.
The special cars are all contained in boxes that look like the one below.
These box arts for special cars are made by RV_Passion. They are not in game to find.
The shopping cart, know as Trolley, described on the page Revolt - 'Under the Hood', also has this image, but needs to be edited to be drivable. Unfortunately, this car difficulty cornering and ofter flips on its side when turning, but the parameters can be modified to tune the Trolley to better specifications to be drivable.
Demo Cars
There are three cars that can be typically found in the demos of Re-Volt. Two are the stock cars of Re-Volt, RC Bandit and Sprinter XL. But, there is an extra car that is added depending on the distributed version of the demo.
The extra cars are as follows:
Name | Acclaim | Gamespot | IGN PC | CGW |
Box art |
The box arts for the extra cars are made by RV_Passion. They do not exist in the demo versions.
All of the extra cars are in the Electric class. Acclaim, IGN PC and CGW are basically the same as Humma, but all of the specifications are lowered to suit the Rookie rating. Gamespot is a sponsored car in the Gamespot Demo; a repaint of Aquasonic with specifications lowered to fit the Rookie rating. The special demo car can be transferred from the demo to the actual game, and can be used in all game modes. Additionally, user submissions have also made these cars available for use on the final version of the game.
DEV Cars
These cars are only available on the Re-volt Developer Version and some of them are incomplete. (For example: Some cars don't have parameters.txt. Other cars doesn't have wheels files and some cars have only the body file.)
The exclusive DEV cars are as follow:
Name | PC Gamer | PC Accelerator | Loaded Chique | Riva TNT2 | Bike | Bird | Poo Poo (DEV Adeon) |
Box art |
The box arts for these DEV cars are made by RV_Passion. They do not exist in the DEV version.
Custom Cars
Custom cars are cars that were not originally installed Re-Volt. There are three kinds of custom cars: repaints, conversions and originals. When viewing the custom cars added to re-volt in the lobby, the "[CHT]" label is next to their names.
Repaints
Repaints are cars that either came with the game or were made custom in the past have been given a new skin texture/design. Repaints can be made of originals and conversions, and also the stock cars.
Conversions
Conversions are cars that have been taken from other programs or video games and incorporated into Re-Volt. The most popular game to convert from is NFS4.
Original
Originals are cars that have been made from the ground up. The models, parameters and skin textures are designed from scratch. It is possible to make this type in a 3d modeling program like 3ds Max, gmax, Milkshape 3D, Zmodeler or even Blender.
External Car Viewer
RST has created a tool called R3-DCP, aka 'Dynamic Car Previewer' that is posted in the RRR Racing Forum. This program can be used to preview the re-volt cars without the use of the game.
A similar tool was made by Kfalcon currently work in progress called 'Car::Load' which is open source and just like R3-DCP, doesn't affect the game.
