Acclaim is a car that is exclusive to the Acclaim Entertainment distribution of the Re-Volt Demo.
Overview[]
Acclaim is the signature vehicle for the demo distribution from the now-defunct Acclaim Entertainment, which were the publishers for this game. This distribution, along with IGN's and Gamespot's, were the fourth generation of known demo engines that were released, which followed before the Developer's version of Re-Volt.
Performance[]
Acclaim is a modified version of Humma with great changes to its specifications to adapt into the Rookie rating. It has an Electric engine, unlike its final counterpart. Aside from that, Acclaim is visually identical to Humma.
Unlike the demo cars of CGW and PC Gamer, which appeared as the first generation of known demos, Acclaim is noticeably faster than those cars, with its parameters instead being identical to the IGN PC demo car. Its top speed of 31 mph (50 kph) is very appreciated in its rating, although its acceleration of 1.94 m/s² is very middling and sluggish at times.
In terms of handling, Acclaim possesses an excellent turning radius but is held back by its poor grip, just like Humma in the final version of the game. The consequences are less severe due to the slow pace of the Rookie rating.
Additional Information[]
- This car had only appeared in the v0.01acclaim demo version of Re-Volt, and possibly in the v0.01nvidia version as well.
- If the car data folder was copied, then the car could become playable in the full version of the game.
